Overview

Santa Barbara City College, also referred to as SBCC, is a two-year, public, community college located on the south coast of Santa Barbara County. It was founded in 1909. SBCC, with its associated buildings, stretches over an area of approximately 74 acres of urban and suburban land.

The college sports teams are called the SBCC Vaqueros. The official mascot is Vaqueros. The College sponsors baseball, cross country, football, basketball, golf, soccer, tennis, softball, track and field, and volleyball.

Notable alumni of SBCC include Eion Bailey, American actor; Airin Older, bassist of rock band Sugarcult; and Delwyn Young, outfielder and second baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team.
