Overview

Santa Clara University is a private, co-educational, Jesuit-affiliated university located in Santa Clara, California. It was established in 1851. The university functions in partnership with the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), who founded the school. The campus is spread across an area of more than 100 acres. SCU offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. It is organized into the following academic divisions:
