Overview

Santiago Canyon College, also known as SSC, is a two-year, community college located on the eastern border of Orange, California, United States. It was founded in 1985 as the Orange Campus branch to nearby Santa Ana College. The name of the campus was changed to Santiago Canyon College in July 1997.

SSC is home to many clubs and organizations. It is part of the California Community College Forensics Association. SSC's forensic team was ranked 3rd among Community colleges in the nation as of December 2006. It also ranked 33rd in the nation among four-year colleges.

SSC’s sports teams are nicknamed the Hawks. They participate in various sports including soccer, golf, and softball.
