Overview

The School for International Training, which is now known as the SIT Graduate Institute, was established more than 40 years ago, and was initially a training center for Peace Corps volunteers. The campus of SIT Graduate Institute occupies 250 acres in Brattleboro, Vermont.

SIT Graduate Institute grants the Master of Arts, Master of Science, and Master of Global Management degrees in sustainable development, teaching, intercultural service, leadership, and management, social justice, conflict transformation, and international education. Students can also opt for professional, and continuing education courses.

The student body of SIT Graduate Institute includes representatives from over 30 foreign countries. Students are involved in various on-campus clubs and organizations including the InterFaith Council, Alliance for Women and Gender Issue, SIT Graduate Institute Student Association, GLoBE, NetImpact, and Student Campus Life Advisory Board. In addition, the institute offers facilities for participation in sports like soccer, basketball, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, softball, and tennis.
