Overview
Scottsdale Community College, or SCC, was established in September, 1970. The college campus encompasses over 160 acres in the City of Scottsdale, Arizona. SCC is administered by the Maricopa County Community College District. The college offers numerous degree programs and vocational courses and is divided into many academic units. Some of these departments are computer information systems, business administration and management, language and communication, and social and behavioral sciences.
Some of the scholarships of SCC are the Maricopa Community College Foundation Scholarships, Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, Sallie Mae Fund Scholarship Programs, and the Coca-Cola Two Year Colleges Scholarship.
SCC has several on-campus student clubs and organizations including the American Indian Honor Society, Dance Club, Imagemakers Theatre Club, Sun Earth Alliance Indian Club, Black Student Union, International Community Club, and many more.
