Overview
Seton Hall University is a private, Roman Catholic university located in South Orange, New Jersey, United States. It was founded in 1856 by Archbishop James Roosevelt Bayley. Seton Hall is the oldest diocesan university in the nation. It is also the oldest and largest Catholic university in New Jersey. The main campus of Seton Hall is spread across an area of 58 acres on South Orange Avenue.
BusinessWeek's "Colleges with the Biggest Returns" (2009 edition) ranked Seton Hall among the top 50 universities in the nation that open doors to the highest salaries. The university offers degrees in over 70 academic fields through the following academic division:
