Overview

Sewanee: The University of the South, also known as Sewanee, is a private, coeducational, liberal arts college located in Sewanee, Tennessee, United States. It was established in the year 1857. The campus spreads across an area of 13,000 acres. The college has a broad variety of degree and academic programs and offers opportunities for studying abroad. Sewanee has an active Greek life. It hosts fraternities and sororities including Gamma Tau Upsilon, Phi Kappa Epsilon, Lambda Chi Alpha, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and Delta Tau Delta.
