Overview

Seward County Community College, also known as SCCC, is beautifully nestled in Liberal, Kansas, United States. It was founded on December 29, 1967. The first classes were held on September 2, 1969. It enrolled 331 students in its first year. Presently, the college enrolls more than 2,000 students annually. SCCC offers a wide variety of associate degrees and certificate programs in diverse areas of study. The college is made up of the following academic units:

  • Allied Health Division
  • Business Division
  • Division of Science, Math, and HPERD
  • Humanities and Social Sciences Division

SCCC has more than 25 on–campus student clubs and organizations including the Bilingual Education Students Organization, Students in Free Enterprise, Hispanic American Leadership Organization, Black Collegiate Union, Student Respiratory Therapy Association, Future Technology Professionals, Phi Theta Kappa, Student Government Association, Surgical Technology Student Association, and International Student Organization.
