Overview
Shasta College is a two-year community college located in Redding, California. It was established in 1950 and dedicated by President Harry Truman. The college enrolls more than 7,000 students annually. Shasta College offers a wide variety of transfer-level and pre-transfer-level classes and programs in diverse areas of study. The college is famous for its music department.
Shasta College is home to a community band, which has over 100 members. The College’s athletic department fields several men’s and women’s sports teams. Their official mascot is the Knight. The campus is also home to several student clubs and organizations like the Ability Awareness Club, the Equipment Operators Club and Intercultural Club.
