Overview

Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic is a private college located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Dr. Thorn Gelardi founded the institute in 1973, but it is named after Dr. Lyle Sherman, a pioneer in modern chiropractics. The institute offers chiropractic doctoral degree to its students. The curriculum is a 14-academic-quarter program, including classroom and hands-on instruction, research and community services. Its campus is spread across an area of 80 acres.

The institution offers its students internship opportunities at the Chiropractic Health Center, which is situated on its campus. The institute arranges for seminars, workshops and presentations. Students here get the opportunity to attend the International Research and Philosophy Symposium, which focuses on research and vitalistic philosophy.
