Housing and MealsShorter College provides on-campus housing for 664 of its 1,101 (full-time) students (as of 2008-2009). The school requires freshmen to live on campus. Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 21 meals weekly.
AthleticsSchool sports include football (Mid-South Conference), basketball (Georgia-Alabama-Carolina Conference), baseball (Georgia-Alabama-Carolina Conference), and track (Georgia-Alabama-Carolina Conference). The school offers financial aid for athletes. Of students receiving athletic financial aid, 182 male students received the aid (men were 72% of those receiving aid) and 70 women were awarded financial aid based on athletics (representing 28% of students receiving such aid) .
