Silver Lake College

Silver Lake College was founded by the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity in 1885 as an academy and a normal school. In 1935, the institute was granted four-year college status and the name was changed to Holy Family College. It finally separated from the Franciscan order in 1972 and was named Silver Lake College of the Holy Family. This Catholic liberal arts institute is situated in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. More than 1,000 students from over 5 U.S. states enroll in Silver Lake College every year.

Silver Lake College grants associate’s degrees in general studies and bachelor’s degrees in arts, science, science in nursing and music. Master’s degrees in education, music education and management and organizational behavior are also available.

Students of Silver Lake College are members of honor societies like Beta Beta Beta and Sigma Tau Delta. Other on-campus clubs and organizations are the Art Club, the Student Alumni Association and the Mattermind. Students also publish a literary magazine known as “Silver Reflections”.
