Overview
Simpson College is located in Indianola, Iowa, United States. It was founded in 1860 and named after Mathew Simpson, a Methodist minister. The college campus covers more than 80 acres in Indianola. In addition to its main campus, it also offers classroom facilities in Ankeny and West Des Moines. It enrolls more than 1,500 students every year. Simpson College offers a number of degrees and certificate programs and is organized into various academic departments.
Simpson College recognizes several Greek Organizations. Some of the fraternities and sororities are Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Delta Delta Delta, Lambda Chi Alpha, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Alpha Tau Omega, and Kappa Theta Psi.
The sports teams of Simpson College are known as the Storm. The college participates in men's baseball, cross country, basketball, golf, tennis, football, track & field, soccer, and wrestling. The Women's teams compete in basketball, golf, cross country, softball, soccer, swimming, track & field, tennis, and volleyball.
