Overview

Skagit Valley College is a 2-year public community college located in northwest Washington. It was founded in 1926 and offers enrollment to more than 6,000 students every year. The college grants technical degrees, academic transfer degrees and certificates in a wide variety of subjects. Several online courses are also available for the benefit of the students.

SVC operates 2 campuses and 3 centers, including:

  • Whidbey Island Campus

Skagit Valley College encourages involvement in campus life through activities, athletics and student organizations. The Asian Pacific Islanders Club, Art & Literary Journal, Black Diamond Ski and Ride Club, Calling All Colors, Environmental Conservation Club, Phi Theta Kappa, Science Club, Skagit Literary Society and Visual Arts Club are among the numerous student clubs and organizations sanctioned by this college. The athletics department fields men’s and women’s teams in baseball, golf, cross country, basketball, soccer, tennis, softball and volleyball.
