Overview

Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania is a public, masters level university located in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1889. The campus is one of the largest in Western Pennsylvania, and is spread across an area of more than 600 acres. SRU is organized into the following academic units:

  • Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education (CMSTE)
  • College of Business, Information and Social Sciences
  • College of Education
  • College of Health, Environment and Science
  • College of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts

SRU’s has an active Greek life, as there are several fraternities and sororities on campus. Some of the notable alumni of the university are Janet Anderson, Professional golfer; David Batra, Swedish stand up comedian and TV actor; and Chuck Aber, Actor.
