Overview

South Carolina State University, SCSU, is a public state university. It is located in Orangeburg, South Carolina and was founded on March 4th, 1896. SCSU records an enrollment of over 4,500 students every year. The main campus at Orangeburg occupies more than 150 acres. It also operates sites in Elloree, South Carolina. SCSU is a network of the following schools and colleges:

The student administration is active in SCSU. It has an active Greek life and is home to several fraternities, sororities and honor organizations. Some of them are Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Beta Delta, and Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Organization.

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference for major sports.
