Overview

South Puget Sound Community College was founded in 1962, and is located in Olympia, Washington. It was established as Olympia Vocational Technical Institute, and was named Olympia Technical Community College in 1976.

SPSCC serves over 6,000 students per quarter through its various programs. The college campus sits upon nearly 100 acres of land and a branch campus is located in Lacey at Hawks Prairie center. The school offers transfer and technical degrees and several non-credit Community Education classes, as well as general education and pre-college courses.

South Puget Sound Community College has an active student life, and hosts numerous clubs and organizations. Some of them are the Tomodachi Club, the Clipper Cycling Club, the Dental Assisting Club and the Student Firefighters’ Association. The sports teams of SPSCC are nicknamed Clipper.
