Overview

South Suburban College is a community college located in the southern suburbs of Chicago, United States. It was established in 1927 as Thornton Junior College. SSC’s main campus is situated in South Holland, Illinois with a second campus in Oak Forest, Illinois. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. SSC enrolls more than 17,000 students every year.

SSC is home to several student clubs and organizations. Some of them are the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, the Occupational Therapy Organization, the Paralegal Association and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
