Overview
South Texas College, also referred to as STC, is a public, community college located in McAllen, Texas, United States. It was established in 1993. The college offers a Bachelor of applied technology, associate of applied science, associate of arts, and associate of science degrees and certificates to students. STC enrolls more than 19,000 students every year.
STC grants degrees and certificates through the five campuses, which include:
- Mid-Valley Campus, Weslaco, Texas
- Pecan Campus, McAllen, Texas
- Ramiro R. Casso Nursing & Allied Health Campus, McAllen, Texas
- Starr County Campus, Rio Grande City, Texas
- Technology Campus, McAllen, Texas
The college is home to various clubs and organizations which assist in the overall development of students. Some of the clubs are the WILD- Writers in Literary Discussion, SIFE- STC Students in Free Enterprise, Chemistry Club, BAT- Bachelors of Applied Technology Club, and SGA Student Government Association.
