Overview

Southeastern Oklahoma State University is also referred to as Southeastern or SE or SOSU. This university is located in Durant, Oklahoma and was established in 1909. It was originally known as the Southeastern State Normal School. The university enrolls more than 4,000 students on annually and offers a number of degree and certificate programs. There are three undergraduate schools of the university:

  • School of Arts and Sciences
  • School of Business
  • School of Education and Behavioral Sciences

The Greek life at the university is impressive with sororities like Alpha Sigma Tau, Sigma Tau Gamma, and Sigma Sigma Sigma. The male students of the university participate in sports like tennis, football, basketball and baseball while the female students take part in tennis, basketball, volleyball and softball.
