Overview

Southern Nazarene University, also known as SNU and So-Naz, is a Christian, liberal arts college located in Bethany, Oklahoma, United States. It was founded in the year 1899 as Texas Holiness University. It was renamed Southern Nazarene University in 1986. Southern Nazarene offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study.

SNU’s student life is active and vibrant. The campus is home to several clubs and organizations based on the varied interests of the students. The university's athletics department sponsors several men’s and women’s sports teams. The official mascot of SNU is Crimson Storm and Lady Storm. The student-run newspaper is called "The Echo."
