Southern University and A&M College is a college located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. The concept of Southern University was put forth by P. B. S. Pinchback, T. T. Allain, and Henry Demas as an institution "for the education of persons of color" at the Louisiana State Constitutional Convention (1879). It was established on March 7, 1881.

Southern University and A&M College participates in the Bayou Classic Football Game and other festivities. Their sports teams are nicknamed the Jaguars.
