Southern University Law Center, also known as SULC, is a public, coeducational law school located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was established in 1947 as a part of the Southern University System. The college offers students programs leading to a Juris Doctor degree in law. The college also offers specialized courses through its partnership with the Southern University Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy.
SULC offers students intensive courses that train them in the art of advocacy, reasoning and legal research. The college offers legal clinics that allow students to earn hands-on training in representing indigent clients in courtroom scenarios.
