Overview
Southern Vermont College is a private, four-year, liberal arts college located in Bennington, Vermont. It was established in 1926 as St. Joseph Business School. It was renamed the Southern Vermont College in 1974. Southern Vermont College is a member of the Vermont Campus Compact. The campus is spread across an area of 370 acres. SVC offers more than 18 academic degrees through the following academic divisions:

- The John Merck Division of Science and Technology
- The McCormick Division of Business
SVC’S student body includes students from over 20 states and over 5 countries. The campus hosts several student clubs and organizations, including the Adventure Club, Alternative Spring Break, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Animation Club.
