Overview

Southwest Virginia Community College, also known as SVCC, is located outside of Richlands, Virginia, United States. It opened in 1968 to serve the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell counties. SVCC is part of the Virginia Community College System. The College offers Associate of Arts and Science Degrees in Business Administration, Education, Management, and Liberal Arts and Science.

SVCC’s campus is home to a wide variety of clubs and organizations for the overall development of its students. Some of the active clubs and organizations are Occupational Therapy, Student In Free Enterprise, Nursing Club, Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), and Phi Theta Kappa (PTK). The student body of SVCC has an impressive number of international students.
