Overview

Southwestern Community College, also known as SCC, is a two-year, community college located in Sylva, North Carolina, United States. It was established in the year 1964. SSC is a member of the North Carolina Community College System. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. The college also operates several satellite campuses.

SCC has an active student life. The campus is home to several student clubs and organizations. Some of the popular ones are the Criminal Justice/Cybercrime Technology Student Association, Epsilon Sigma Pi EMS Professional Society, Health Information Technology Club, and Respiratory Therapy Technology Club. It also hosts several honor societies. The student body has an impressive number of international students.
