Spartanburg Methodist College

Spartanburg Methodist College, established in 1911, is a junior college associated with the United Methodist Church. The college campus spans over 110 acres at the foothills of Blue Ridge Mountains. Spartanburg Methodist College offers associate’s degrees in journalism, sociology, business, religious studies, psychology, computer science, engineering, pre-medicine, pre-law, pre-pharmacy and allied health.

Spartanburg Methodist College has an active Greek life. The sororities and fraternities include Sigma Kappa Delta, Phi Theta Kappa and Psi Beta. Kappa Sigma Alpha. Some of the other student clubs and organizations in the college are Student Government Association, Criminal Justice Club, Wesley Fellowship, Computer Programming Club and Campus Crusade for Christ.

The college athletic teams are nicknamed as Pioneers. They are Division I members of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
