Overview

Spoon River College, also referred to as SRC, is located in Canton, Illinois, United States. It was originally known as Canton Community College and started offering classes in the year 1960. The college offers degree programs to students in various areas of study including education, art, business, health science, and nursing. Spoon River College has three satellite campuses called:

  • Havana Center
  • Macomb Campus
  • Rushville Center

The college houses a large number of student clubs and organizations including Phi Theta Kappa, Habitat for Humanity, Student Senate, Alpha Gamma Tau, and Student Nurses Club. Students of SRC participate in sports such as softball, basketball, and baseball. The athletic teams are named the Mudcats.
