St. Bernard's School of Theology and Ministry is located in Rochester, New York. It is a nonprofit, private institute. The school was founded by Bishop Bernard J. McQuaid as a Roman Catholic Seminary in the year 1893 and was originally named St. Bernard's Institute. In the year 1981, it was restructured into an institute for ministerial and theological studies, and was also granted the charter of incorporation.
