Overview

Stark State College of Technology is a public technical school. The college was ranked among the top 500 fastest growing technical colleges of the country by the United States Department of Education in 2006. The college is divided into several departments, including the administrative information technology, accounting, business management, electronic engineering, web design and development departments.

SSCT also offers numerous scholarships. Some of these include the Stark State College Academic Scholarship, the Abbott and Fenner Scholarship, the Florence Allen Scholarship, the Lockheed Martin Department of Labor scholarship, the Coca-Cola 2 Year College Scholarship and the Canton Preservation Society Scholarship.

The American Society of Civil Engineers, the Association of Information Technology Professionals, the International Club, Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, the Stark State College Association of Medical Assistants and the Student Physical Therapist Assistant Club are some of the student-run organizations of the college.
