Overview

Sterling College is a liberal arts college in Sterling, Kansas. It is a Christ Centered college established in 1887 by the United Presbyterian College of North America (Synod of Kansas). It was originally named Cooper Memorial College and was given its present name in 1920. The college launched its online program, which was christened e.Sterling, in 2007. This program helps students complete parts of their bachelor's degree through the Internet.

The campus of Sterling College houses the Cooper Building, which was built in 1887 and has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The college's athletic teams are known as Warriors and are frequently represented as armed Scottish Highlanders. They compete in the Kansas Collegiate Conference Athletic Conference (NAIA Division II). Sterling College is also home to organizations like Pi Kappa Delta and Alpha Chi.

Room and Board

Sterling College provides on-campus housing for 590 of its 625 (full-time) students (as of 2009-2010). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.

Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 20 meals weekly.

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference for major sports.
