Overview
Stone Child College, also known as SCC, was established by the Chippewa-Cree Tribal Ordinance. It is located in Box Elder, Montana. This two-year, tribal college offers certificates and several associate’s degrees in the fields of business, applied science, human services and general studies. The curriculum for certificates includes courses in construction technology, customer relations, information management and pre-engineering, among others.
Stone Child College arranges a number field trips, cultural events, sporting events and workshops for its students. The college offers financial aid in the form of federal grants and scholarships like the Maragret Parisian Swan Memorial Scholarship and the Native American Studies Scholarship.
