State University of New York at Buffalo is a public research university that was originally founded in May 1846 as a private medical school. It was elected to the Association of American Universities in 1989.

UB’s campus covers 1,346 acres. UB offers more than 80 bachelors, 180 masters and over 75 doctoral degrees through the following academic divisions:

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Mid-American Conference for major sports.
