Overview
The State University of New York at Oneonta is a four-year liberal arts college located in Oneonta, New York. It was established in 1889 as a state normal school. O-State enrolls more than 5,000 students annually. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. Kiplinger's magazine 2007 issue ranked the SUNY College at Oneonta among its "100 Best Values in Public Colleges."
O-State has an active Greek life. A large percentage of its student population are members of the fraternities and sororities. The campus is also home to several other student clubs and organizations.
