Overview

SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, also known as SUNY ESF, is located in Syracuse, New York, United states. It was established in 1911 through a special bill signed by the Governor of New York, John Alden Dix. SUNY ESF operates several branch campuses including the Ranger School in Wanakena, New York.

The college's central campus spreads across an area of 12 acres and comprises of more than 5 main buildings. SUNY ESF has academic departments in diverse fields of study including chemistry, environmental and forest biology, construction management and wood products engineering, and environmental resources and forest engineering.

The college has several on-campus clubs and organizations such as the American Fisheries Society, Alpha Phi Omega, Environmental Studies Student Organization, and Society of American Foresters.
