Overview
SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, also known as SUNY Downstate Medical Center, is located in Brooklyn, New York, United States. It was chartered in the year 1858 and is the only academic center for research, patient care, and health education in Brooklyn. This center was formerly called the Long Island College Hospital of the City of Brooklyn. Academic programs are offered in health care and medicine through the degree-granting school and colleges of SUNY Downstate. They are:
