Overview

State University of New York Maritime College, also known as SUNY Maritime College, is located in the Bronx, New York City. The college was established in the year 1874. The college offers bachelor's, master's and associate's degrees in several maritime subjects which includes engineering degrees in electrical mechanical engineering, marine electrical and electronic systems and naval architecture. The College owns a primary ship, Empire State VI, used to provide hands-on experience of the programs offered. Other degrees offered include international transportation and trade with a required internship. In addition the college offers several other maritime programs.

SUNY Maritime College has an active campus life. The office of student life provides several facilities to the students. The college has over 30 student groups and organizations operating in the campus. Some of the student organizations include Student Activities, Orientation, & Judicial Affairs and the Graduate Student Association.
