Overview
Surry Community College, also known as SCC, is a public, coeducational comprehensive community college located in Dobson, North Carolina, United States. The college offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates in diverse areas of study. The college also offers distance learning programs, corporate, and continuing education programs. SCC is part of the North Carolina Community College System.
SCC boasts of an active student life. The campus is home to several student clubs and organizations. Some of the organizations are the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), Latter-Day Saints Student Association (LDSSA), Criminal Justice Club, and Medical Assisting Student Organization. The students also actively participate in sports. The teams are nicknamed the Surry Knights.
