Overview

Sussex County Community College, also known as SCCC, was established in the year 1981. It is a coeducational, public, two-year, community college located in Sussex County, New Jersey. SCCC confers more than 30 associate degrees and over 10 certificate programs in diverse areas of study. The academic divisions of the college are:

  • Business, Math, Science & Law
  • Health Sciences
  • Liberal Arts Education
  • Science, Social Science & Mathematics

Sussex County Community College supports several student organizations and clubs including Phi Theta Kappa, Arts Club, Human Services Club, Psychology Club, and World Culture Club. SCCC’s athletics department fields a large number of men’s and women’s sports teams. The men’s teams are known as the Skylanders, and the women’s teams are called the Lady Skylanders. The college is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. The teams participate in soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball.
