Overview

Sweet Briar College, located in Sweet Briar, Virginia, was founded in 1901 under the legacy of Indiana Fletcher Williams. It was formally opened in September 1906. The campus sprawls over 3,250 acres of land at the foothills of Blue Ridge Mountains. The College offers majors, minors, pre-professional and certificate programs in economics, English, engineering sciences, environmental studies, mathematics, music, film studies and many more programs. Master’s degree in teaching and education are offered at Sweet Briar college as well.

The Greek life on Sweet Briar campus includes organizations like Alpha Lambda Delta, Phi Beta Kappa, Eta Sigma Phi, Psi Chi, Omicron Delta Kappa and Pi Delta Phi, to name a few. Apart from these, there are more than 50 other clubs and organizations including Archeology Club, Cooking Club, Paints and Patches, Pre-Law Society, Onyx Diversity Club and College Republicans.
