Overview

Tacoma Community College is located in Tacoma, Washington. The creation of this college was authorized by voters in 1962, which led to its establishment in the fall of 1965. Over 10,000 students enroll at TCC every year, of which more than 200 are international students. The college has the following schools and colleges under it:

  • Gig Harbor Peninsula Campus
  • Madison School
  • Mission Creek Corrections Center for Women
  • The Evergreen State College-Tacoma
  • Washington Corrections Center for Women
  • Washington Institute for Service Excellence at the Tacoma Mall

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Black Student Union, the Environmental Club, History Appreciation Club, PHI THETA KAPPA, the International Students Organization and the Native American Student Union.

TCC’s sports teams are nicknamed the Titans. The school sponsors a men’s baseball team, a women’s volleyball team, and both men’s and women’s teams in basketball and soccer.
