Texas A&M University is a coeducational public research university in College Station, Texas. It was founded in 1876 as the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas. In 1963, it was renamed Texas A&M University by the Texas Legislature. TAMU offers degrees in over 150 areas of study through the following academic divisions:

Texas A&M AthleticsSchool sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. Texas A&M is in the Big Twelve Conference for major sports. Texas A&M offers financial aid for athletes.
