Overview

Texas Tech University is a co-educational, public research university located in Lubbock, Texas. It was established on February 10, 1923 as the Texas Technological College. In 1969, it was renamed Texas Tech University. Initially consisting of only four colleges, the university is now comprised of ten colleges and two schools:
