Overview
Established on February 9, 1855, The College of New Jersey is spread across an area of more than 280 acres in Ewing Township, New Jersey. In 1930, the college moved to its present location. Prior to that, it was located in Trenton proper. TCNJ was ranked as the best masters degree level public university in the northern United States by the US News and World Report in 2008. The college is organized into several schools:

TCNJ officially recognizes more than 15 sororities and 12 fraternities. Some of these are Alpha Chi Rho, Mu Sigma Upsilon, Lambda Theta Phi, Sigma Gamma Rho, Zeta Tau Alpha, Alpha Phi Omega, Theta Phi Alpha, Alpha Psi Chi Fraternity, Alpha Psi Omega, Zeta Phi Beta, Alpha Nu Omega Sorority, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Phi Kappa Psi and Chi Upsilon Sigma.
