Overview

The College of Saint Rose is an independent, private, coeducational college located in the heart of Albany, New York State. It was founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph in 1920. The College of Saint Rose is named after Saint Rose of Lima. The college's campus is spread over an area of 35 acres and comprises more than 80 buildings. It enrolls more than 4,500 students every year.

The college grants both undergraduate and graduate degrees in more than 50 areas of study. The College of Saint Rose was recognized as one of the ‘Top 70 Best Northern Universities’ by the U.S. News & World Report. The college’s athletic teams are known as the Golden Knights, and they participate in NCAA Division II.
