Overview

The Community College of Baltimore County was established in 1957 and is also referred as CCBC. The college has three main campuses and two extension centers. Apart from the Dundalk Campus, there are two campuses in Catonsville and Essex. CCBC offers over 50 associate degrees and approximately 100 certificate programs. The academic division of CCBC is organized into the following schools:

  • School of Applied and Information Technology
  • School of Business, Social Sciences, Wellness and Education
  • School of Health Professions
  • School of Justice
  • School of Liberal Arts
  • School of Mathematics and Science

CCBC has a large number of student organizations. Some of these are the Anime Club, Honors Association, Student Government Association, Paralegal Club, Multicultural Student Association, Phi Theta Kappa, Disabled Students Association, and Horticulture Club.

Some of the notable alumni of CCBC are James F. Ports, Jr., former Maryland State Delegate; Michael J. Collins, Maryland State Senator; and Sonny Askew, retired soccer player.
