Overview

The Evergreen State College, also known as ESC, was established in 1967. It is a public Liberal Arts College and is located in Olympia, Washington. The campus is over 1,000 acres and ESC boasts an enrollment of over 4,000 students annually. The college provides a number of services for the overall development of the students.

ESC is home to a number of registered student clubs and organizations including the Evergreen Animal Rights Network, the International Solidarity Movement and the Students For a Democratic Society. Many students of ESC have gone on to become famous. Some of them are Stephanie Coontz, Historian and Author; Michael Vavrus Author and Teacher; and Nalini Nadkarni, American ecologist.
