The National Hispanic University

The National Hispanic University (NHU) was established in 1981 in Oakland, California. The university opened its San Jose campus in 1990. It was founded by B. Roberto Cruz to meet the needs of women, Hispanics, and other minorities. NHU’s campus is spread across an area of more than 10 acres. NHU's recent enrollments have been approximately 600 undergraduate students. It offers bachelor’s degrees, associate’s degrees and single-subject teaching credentials to the students.

NHU has a diverse student body, and enrolls several international students. Scholarships, grants, student loan and work study opportunities are provided to the students of NHU. The university has an active student life. The students of the university can take part in several on campus events and activities.
