Overview

The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College was established in 1974. It is located centrally in the University City, Philadelphia. The college is the first of its kind in Philadelphia that offers career training in the hospitality and fine dining industry. The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill's recent enrollments have been approximately 600 students from over 15 U.S states enrolled here.

Students have a choice of four majors offered in associate’s and bachelor’s degree levels. The majors are in culinary arts, pastry arts, hotel management and restaurant management. All the students pursuing majors in culinary and pastry arts programs get to participate in a week-long gourmet tour of France. Those pursuing bachelor’s degrees participate in a hospitality tour of England.

Students at The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College take part in various club activities. The clubs at the college include The Brewing Club, The Italian Club, The Diversity Club, The Pastry Club, The Cheese Club, and The Book Club.
