Overview

The University of the Arts, or UArts, is situated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It was established in 1985 and created by the union of Philadelphia College of Performing Arts and Philadelphia College of Art. It is one of the oldest universities of the nation dedicated to the arts.

The University's campus includes 10 buildings with over 850,000 square feet. UArts offers 10 graduate and more than 15 undergraduate programs in:

  • College of Art and Design
  • College of Performing Arts
  • College of Media and Communication

UArts has an active student life. Some of its clubs and organizations are the African American Student Union, Alpha Psi Omega, and Latino Student Union. The college has a diverse students body and enrolls many international students representing over 30 countries.
